Is it really that hard and scary? What did I prepare for the interview session? Continue reading to find out the whole journey of my masscomm interview!

Okay, first of all, I don't really remember the actual date of my interview session but it happened somewhere in April 2019. So when I was first knowing that my name was selected as one of the interviewee for Diploma In Communication and Media Studies, I was so nervous and excited at the same time because this is my first choice programme in UPU so I was really looking forward to it.
Preparation
After seeing the offer, I started to do some research and googling here and there about Masscomm and the interview, I found another bloggers sharing their experiences and all so from there, I started to imagine the questions that might be asked by the interviewer. Luckily some of the bloggers have already leaked the questions and most of them are mostly the same so I took some note from there and try to remember the answers that I've already prepared. Then of course some research about current issues, name of the ministers etc.
During the interview
This interview session is divided into two parts:
1) Written test: We have to write a 200-word essay about
i. What do you know about Mass Communication?
ii. Why you choose this programme?
iii. What can you contribute to this programme?
Then after finished the written test, we're being told to wait for our turn in the waiting room
2) Speaking interview session: 5 person in a group would be called to the interview room and we need to hand in our academic and co-curriculum certificates and all that necessary documents, and then we're being asked to sit down and introduce ourselves. The questions they will ask are actually vary depending on your recent school, way of introduction and whatever they want to ask based on your certificates that you displayed to them. Also I've been asked about the name of the minister of MCMC, Menteri Besar Johor and Sultan Johor (since I studied in Johor).
So yeah, there you go. It is not that scary and terrifying at all. Just a little bit nervous for me. Oh yes I forgot to mention, everything will be done in English. So make sure you practise your fluency and try to deliver it in a confident way. It is all that matters actually. To everyone who want to pursue your studies in Masscomm, I wish you guys all the best and good luck! Have fun!
