MC110: What is Masscomm?

Masscomm is the short form for Mass Communication or the actual full name for the program is Communication and Media Studies.

When it comes to Masscomm, people always thought it is just about speaking. Or even worse, they tend to think that this course is only for those who want to become famous in the industry. This is actually a huge misconception and understanding!

Actually in this program, we will learn everything about the media from the bottom to the top and from the back stage to the front camera. Just name anything related, we can immediately know it.

The scope of learning in Masscomm is really really wide especially during diploma because this is where we will learn about everything before proceeding to our preferred focus program later in degree. Besides of Public Speaking, we also got to learn the communication theories, the history about the origin of all forms of media, whether print, electronic, tv, magazines, radio etc. Not to be forgotten, Islamic education is also one of the thing that will be taught in this program. So you guys can refer to the picture attached below to know more about the subjects that will be learnt in this Communication and Media Studies. Please note that I am referring to the UiTM MC110 diploma program.
