This sequel of The Secret Life of Pets (2016) is a computer animated adventure/comedy, produced by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.

Continuing the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day, this sequel directed by Chris Renaud, co-directed by Jonathan del Val, and written by Brian Lynch is a blast in 2019.

In terms of plotting, I'm not going to go around calling this movie is a great movie, because it ain't that great. This time around the story divides itself into three subplots. I somehow think that it breaks the action and rhythm of the movie when there's too many things and situations happen at the same time. The humor in the first movie is also better. But I still can get the lessons and messages in this movie especially for the parents and kids out there.
Anyhow I still think that the 2016's The Secret Life of Pets is way better than the second one. The video below is my review summary for this film.
